Channel Islands Harbor sits right across from Anacapa and Santa Cruz: for a lot of anglers, the shortest island run on the coast. That easy access to island kelp and structure is the port's whole identity: calico, white seabass and yellows without a marathon.
The area is also famous for its squid, which draw white seabass and other predators onto the grounds. Add the Ventura flats for halibut and you've got a productive, well-rounded home port at the north end of the Bight.
