Terms of Service
The plain version: pay for what you use, fish at your own risk, and the score is a read on conditions rather than a promise about fish.

1. Agreement
By using Fish or Pass (operated by Set Sale Marine LLC), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Questions: hello@fishorpass.com.
2. The service is a conditions report card
Fish or Pass provides a "Bite Score", an informational read on fishing conditions. It is not a guarantee of results, not "odds," and not a safety or navigation tool. Always check official NOAA forecasts, use your own seamanship, and follow current CDFW regulations and Marine Protected Area rules. See our score disclaimer. You fish at your own risk.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information and let us know of any unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Angler is the plan on sale today. It is billed annually through Stripe and renews until you cancel. The free trial is offered on a first subscription only: it starts when you add a card and converts to a paid year unless you cancel before it ends. If you have subscribed before, the year is charged when you subscribe again. Cancel any time from your account; access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Fees are the ones shown at signup and may change with notice before a renewal. Fleet plans are arranged directly with us rather than bought on the site.
Referrals. Each account has a personal invite link. When someone signs up with it and their first yearly payment goes through, both accounts get 30 free days added to their renewal date; signing up or starting a trial alone earns nothing. An account can earn up to 12 free months from referrals in any 12-month period. Days earned while an account is not on a paid plan are saved and added once it is. Free days have no cash value, are not refunded if you cancel, and are not taken back if a referred account later receives a refund. We may end or change the program; days already added stay added.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no scraping, reverse-engineering, reselling, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access. Don't use it for anything unlawful.
6. Intellectual property
The service, the Bite Score model and outputs, content, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service; you keep rights to content you submit.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that fishing conditions or results will match the score.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost fuel, time, catch, or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes will be handled in the courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. We'll post the new date here.
